We are delighted to share with you our most recent Catholic Schools Inspectorate report which confirms that St Mary’s has been judged outstanding in all areas: Catholic Life & Mission, Religious Education and Prayer & Liturgy.

St Mary’s Primary CSI January 2026

Inspectors spoke very highly of our school and recognised St Mary’s as a joyful, faith-filled community where children truly flourish.

Some of the highlights from the report include:

Leaders, including governors, are dedicated to their role in leading this outstanding Catholic school, striving for excellence in all areas.

Relationships are strong and warm at all levels across the school community.

High quality pastoral care ensures that the wellbeing of pupils, their families and staff is consistently and carefully prioritised.

Pupils are incredibly proud to belong to the St Mary’s school community – and they are a credit to the school.

A beautiful sacred space has been created, reflecting the centrality of prayer and liturgy at St Mary’s.

Inspectors were particularly struck by the exemplary behaviour of our children, their warmth and welcome towards others, and the way our mission to ‘let your light shine’ is truly lived out each day.

The ambition and commitment of leaders and governors was also recognised as a key strength.
